Shoutout to our QUEEN dana wheeler-nicholson who ON THIS DAY 7 MONTHS AGO inspired a 7-month long and still counting journey to master the fine art of the 80s blowout! i am now the proud owner of hot rollers, velcro rollers, and flexi rods (and sometimes, none of them work!)

first time i've logged on in awhile... summer's been kind of boring but it's cool. i leave for college in a month and i need to buy some new movie posters. including, yes, fletch. i just finished leisurely watching an obscure snl episode from 1976 (featuring an extremely funny chevy chase - so many people hate on him, and it's like yes, he can be an ass, but being an ass and being funny aren't mutually exclusive... i will love weekend update forever and always, i don't care what anyone says) and the new quote of the month is up! oh, and i'm taking these really cool improv classes near me!! humor is such a big part of my life, i could never live without it. ohhh and i'm getting ready for my road test (i'll try to chew lots of gum and not hit any water buffaloes). what else, i got a new phone that actually WORKS! so, overall, life is good :)

by the way, if you don't know about my in-laws website, go check it out! it's not nearly as developed as this one but i do love the in-laws and it actually shares an actor with fletch, richard libertini! i'm also working on a caddyshack one but i haven't exactly started on it yet because i plan to go TOTALLY ALL OUT with the golf theme on the home page and i want it to be perfect so naturally i'm procrastinating teehee... if a caddyshack-lover wants to help out/collab i'm all for it but i fear nobody is reading this!

as for today, i've started watching foul play. my mission to watch the entirety of chevy chase's filmography has led me to places i wouldn't even go with a gun.

sometimes i think about how much trouble chevy chase has caused me. i mean, he better appreciate this website if he ever sees it!! i learned coding ON THE JOB. for him. and i'm still confused as hell all the time. as i painstakingly write this, countless frustrated hours are still being spent wrangling with obstinate css! oh well. for today's picture, enjoy this very fletch-adjacent young CC.

fletch shower thoughts #2: if you don't order a steak sandwich every time when given the chance are you really a true fan?

exciting news in the world of fletch!! first, the website is now 2 MONTHS OLD!!! and it just keeps getting better. also, i am now reading fletch, too! i love how you can just pick up a fletch book at any time and jump right back in. i've only read the first 10 or so pages but it's quite interesting so far. the review over in the book section should be coming in 20 to 22 business days.

Interesting fact about me: for someone so dedicated to Fletch, I actually don't own the DVD. See, it's because I LOVE the original cover art. Ya know, the blue one with the gun. I'd love to own that, it looks sick. But I know the uglier (in my opinion) Jane Doe Edition has both Fletch and Fletch Lives, plus special bonus features. I have the money, I don't know why I don't just buy both. Maybe they'll release a Trilogy Blu-Ray someday...

Good day to watch Fletch, today is.

in my english class we're watching movies that have to be based on literature in some way. i know what came to my mind first... however we watched the trailer on monday and nobody laughed at all or showed any interest which was funnier than the actual trailer in a way. i've watched it enough times and i can watch it again i'm just kinda surprised.

fletch shower thoughts #1: if you don't try to integrate a fletch quote into every daily conversation are you really a true fan?

the amount of people i've told about this movie only to be greeted with lukewarm enthusiasm or "ew, chevy chase..." *sigh*

added a little what i'm currently reading box for the book nerds out there. it can be located in the fletch books section and its a damn fine box if i do say so my DAMN self!!!
