Not as good storyline-wise since it wasn’t adapted from the books, but there’s no shortage of funnies.

Aside from Chevy, I thought Jon Hamm was probably one of the best guys you could get to be Fletch. Even better than Jason Lee, in my opinion. Sorry, Jason, I love you in Mallrats and every other Kevin Smith movie. Obviously it's lacking that 80s charm (I say this as someone who just recently was in diapers) but it still totally nails the Fletch charm, regardless of decade.
